Overview
MoveSmart is a free tool that generates a personalized moving timeline and checklist. This policy explains what information the Moving Planner asks you to enter, how it is handled, and how you can reach us.
No Account Required
You do not need to create an account or sign up to use the Moving Planner. There is no login, and we do not maintain user profiles.
What the Moving Planner Asks For
To generate your plan, the Moving Planner asks for your move date, home size, moving method, distance, and any optional details you choose to add (such as kids, pets, fragile items, storage, or budget tracking). None of this is personally identifying on its own, and none of it is required to be accurate for the tool to function.
The Moving Planner Runs in Your Browser
The Moving Planner works entirely on your device. The details you enter are used only to generate your plan in your browser and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
Local Storage
Your checklist progress (which tasks you have checked off) is saved using your browser’s local storage, a standard web technology, so your progress persists if you return to the page on the same device and browser. This data stays on your device. You can clear it at any time using the “Start Over” option or by clearing your browser’s site data.
Cookies and Tracking
This site does not currently use analytics or advertising cookies or tracking. Our hosting and caching infrastructure may set standard technical cookies necessary for basic site functionality. If we add analytics or advertising in the future, we will update this policy to describe what is used and how, and we will not claim any advertising-network approval we have not actually received.
Contact Forms
If you contact us, we use the information you provide, such as your email address and message, only to respond to you.
Third-Party Services
We do not currently share your information with third parties. If that changes, this policy will be updated to name the services involved and how they are used.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
